During this time of turbulence and uncertainty, our hearts and minds are with our community, as there is no one left untouched by the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Over the past week and a half we have been working to better understand the impact of this pandemic on our arts community, and as things continue to shift with the spread of the Coronavirus, we are working with our national regranting partners and local community members to determine how to best use our resources and platforms to support artists and cultural organizers in this time of crisis.
We admire the strength, resilience, innovation and leadership of artists and cultural organizers in Baltimore, and are proud of all the brilliant initiatives led by this community to support those most impacted. We have compiled a list of those resources and efforts: COVID-19: Artist & Freelancers Resource List, as well as state, regional and national resources that may be of use to artists and freelancers in Baltimore. We will continue to update them as more information becomes available.
Our BARCO & Grit Fund team members are currently working remotely but are available via phone, email, and video call. Please email thegritfund@baltimoreartsrealty.com should you have any questions or concerns, or if you have additional resources you would like to add to the COVID-19 list.
Please follow guidelines to stay indoors and practice social distancing.
We are thinking about you and sending best wishes for your safety and health during this time.
In solidarity and gratitude,
Khadija Nia Adell
